HADITH: Once when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked to seek God’s punishment for a particular tribe called the Thaqif, he instead said: “O God, give guidance to Thaqif.” Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1547
FEEDBACK

1. Congratulations on the website! The service you provide is so valuable and I am so happy that it is now on a website. Please keep up the great work! Soumaya Khalifa, Executive Director, Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta www.isbatlanta.org

2. Thank you so much! Peace for your journey. Rev. Regina L. Stillman, Leavenworth, KS. http://outoftheashesinterfaithfellowship.giving.officelive.com/default.aspx

3. I like the new format very much! Thanks for keeping me on the mailing list. Best wishes to you and your family for a very Healthy and Happy New Year! I looked it up and unless the website was incorrect, it appears that Islamic new year started Dec 7 as well as our joint new year. How wonderful that we can celebrate both. Sandi Lerner, Overland Park, KS.

OLD FEEDBACK

1. WOW!!! You have me on your list three times! I feel honored. And, I appreciate the positive news. Kay Shevling, Edwardsville, KS.

2. I am thinking of all of you in the Kansas City-area Islamic community after I read that an Islamic community center in Portland, Oregon had been fire-bombed–apparently in retaliation for an attempted terrorist attack in that city. It is so, so unfair to blame all members of a religious community for the actions of a few extremists–I very much hope that my fellow Americans will come together to let our Muslim citizens know that we do not blame them for the actions of a few. Take care. Ernest Evans Ph.D. Leavenworth, KS.

3. Congratulation on producing an attractive version of the ‘Digest’ that was already providing us a great deal of useful info. I might not have told you, but I have used the materials from the Digest on many occasions in my talks and writings. Thank you for your consistent and valuable service to the community. To paraphrase one of the Hadith: “A good act, however small, but carried out continuously, is better than a big one performed irregularly. You’ve translated the saying into practice in an exemplary manner! May Allah bless you and your family, and reward you immensely for the noble deeds! Syed Eqbal Hasan Ph.D. Shawnee, KS.

4. I do so appreciate that you have drawn attention to my letter (in Kansas City Star). It did feel really good to write it, and now that several people have sent it around, I expect agreement and disagreement. You have revised your Muslim News Digest. It looks good and is easy to read. Thanks for your hard work in sharing truth. Janet Baker, Leawood, KS.

5. I am in the process of writing a new book entitled “9 to 5: Muslims at Work” for publication. The work intends to look at the different ethical, moral, and religious scenarios that Muslims often need to deal with on a daily basis in different work situations. In compiling this volume, I am looking for people who would be interested in writing narratives chronicling their own work experiences as Muslims working in the West. Based on your past and current work experiences, a narrative written by you would be a wonderful addition to this book compilation. Please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested, for more information. Suzy Ismail suzy.ismail@gmail.com .
